Geography

Togo is a Western African country, with Bénin on its Eastern side, Burkina Faso in the North, and Ghana on its Western front. Togo is also facing the Atlantic on its south shore, within the Golf of Bénin. More than 6 millions people are living in Togo.

Togo is one of the smallest African countries with 56 785 km², 600 km from the North to the South and around 150 km wide.

Nonetheless, Togo is well known for its wide diversity with sand dunes and coco trees in the South, hills, green valleys and small mountains in the center, arid plains and swamp lands with baobabs in the North.
