Consulate proud sponsor & partner of l’Afrique en fête in Quebec City

The Consulate of Togo in Quebec was a proud sponsor and partner at the 3rd edition of l’Afrique en fête (African Festival) in Quebec City from August 10 to 12,2012.

Festivities took off through a kick off party at a Boston Pizza Sports bar in Quebec City on Friday night, August 10. Celebrations continued over the week-end Festival at Baie de Beauport during which the Consul Me Stéphane HARVEY got nice coverage in one of the main daily newspaper in the city (article in French).

Consulate in Quebec now delivers visas for Togo

The Consulate of the Togo Republic  in Quebec is real proud to see Togo getting back to the prestigious UN Security Council. The Consul Me Stéphane HARVEY congratulates Togo for its return with a seat for the first time since 1982. The Togo’s presence within the Council grants the African State to have more good input to maintain peace around the globe. Economic Mission will head for Togo in 2011

Quebec- September, 6, 2010 : Invited by the Honorary Consul of the Togo Republic in Quebec, Me Stéphane HARVEY, the Togo Ambassador in Canada, SEM Bawoumondom AMELETE,  was in Quebec City recently on August 23 & 24, 2010.

During his stay, the Consul and the Ambassador  held a working session to decide that an Economic Mission will head for Togo in 2011. The Ambassador also took the opportunity to meet along the Consul, several personnalities from the public and the economic sectors.

Organized by the Consulate of the Togo Republic in Quebec, this mission will benefit from the support and collaboration of the Togo Ambassador in Canada.

Thus, the Honorary Consul , Me Stéphane HARVEY, invites all companies and organizations from Canada and Quebec having an interest towards Togo to be part of the delegation: « We convey them all to invest and to do interesting business in Togo by creating jobs in this African country, in Canada and in Quebec. Togo has many assets such as its Free Trade Zone which provides access to the whole African continent».

Over a whole week, the Economic Mission will open many doors to companies aiming towards Togo and this part of the world. « Togo has an urgent need of Canadian and Quebecker’s  expertise coming from companies specialized in many fields » mentioned Ambassador Bawoumondom AMELETE.

“Sectors such as networks for Water distribution, Irrigation, Cleaning systems of cities, Agriculture, Infrastructures, Hotels, Cellular phones, Web, Fisheries, and Energy are only few of many fields waiting for professional help”, added the Ambassador.

The exact dates of the Economic Mission will be announced in a near future.

More than 6 million people are living in Togo. This Western African State touches the Atlantic Ocean. It is located just East of Ghana, West of Benin, and South of Burkina Faso. Togo is a member of the Economic Community of Western African States, the Western African Economic and Monetary Union, the African Union and the International Francophonie.

Official Website’s launch frontpaging

The Official launching of the Togo-Quebec Honorary Consulate’s Website was frontpaging  the important and credible Website on Friday, June 11, 2010. The article was  titled in French  Le Québec se connecte .

Perceived as a real interesting news within his strategy, the Consul, Me Stéphane HARVEY was really happy of all the exposure given to that launch and the positive reactions received at the Consulate, specifically through numerous emails. Many respondants are supporting strong economic relations between Quebec, Canada and Togo.

Many projects will take place over the next months and in 2011, including an economic mission in Togo regrouping businesses and governments from Quebec and Canada. The mission is expected to create many jobs in multiple fields.
