THE OFFICIAL ECONOMIC MISSION WILL BE DONE IN TOGO in 2014.

Quebec- September, 6, 2010 : Invited by the Consul of the Togo Republic in Quebec, Me Stéphane HARVEY, the Togo Ambassador in Canada, SEM Bawoumondom AMELETE, was in Quebec City, on August 23 & 24, 2010.
During his stay, the Consul and the Ambassador held a working session to decide that an official Mission is planned for 2014. The Ambassador also took the opportunity to meet along the Consul, several personnalities from the public and the economic sectors.
Organized by the Consulate of the Togo Republic in Quebec, the official Mission in Togo will benefit from the support and the collaboration of the Togo Ambassador in Canada.
Thus, the Consul , Me Stéphane HARVEY, invites all companies and organizations from Canada and Quebec having an interest towards Togo to be part of the delegation: « We convey them all to invest and to do interesting business in Togo by creating jobs in this African country, in Canada and in Quebec. Togo has many assets such as its Commercial Trade Zone (zone franche) which provides a good access to the African continent».
So over a whole week, the Economic Mission will open many doors to companies aiming towards Togo and this part of the world. « Togo has an urgent need of Canadian and Quebecker’s expertise coming from companies specialized in many fields » mentioned Ambassador Bawoumondom AMELETE.
“Sectors such as networks for Water distribution, Irrigation, Cleaning systems of cities, Agriculture, Infrastructures, Hotels, Telecommunications, Web, Fisheries, and Energy are only few of many fields waiting for professional help and really good expertise”, added the Ambassador.
The exact dates of the Economic Mission in 2014 will be announced later.
More than 6 million people are living in Togo. This Western African State touches the Atlantic Ocean. It is located just East of Ghana, West of Benin, and South of Burkina Faso. Togo is a member of the Economic Community of Western African States, the Western African Economic and Monetary Union, the African Union and the International Francophonie.
